The Hunt for the Perfect Dress

Hello everyone! It's finally that time of year! As I'm approaching graduation, I am realizing that my time is slowly running out to find the perfect dress. I know a lot of girls that have already found theirs, but the hunt search has not been successful so far, in my case. It seems as though I am too picky, when it comes to choosing the right dress, when there are thousands of designs and colours right at my disposal. My ideal dress is a long gown, slightly fitted at the top, and flowy at the bottom, a light to medium-blue colour, strapless with a sweetheart neckline, and a satiny sheen. Too much? Who knows, maybe I'll find a frock that suits my strict criteria. What types of dresses are you all looking to wear on your prom night?

Until next time,

^_^

Last Day of School :D

Hello my amazing readers! How are all of you? Today was the last day of school for me, and it sure made me feel nostalgic. I thought about all of my years in that one school, and how it was slowly coming to an end. I still have one more year to go, but I will truly miss it. It really makes you think about what we take for granted in life. School is where you forge unbreakable friendships, make sacrifices for the better, and figure out who we are as members of society. I know there are a lot of people that hated/hate school, but just think, you are given the chance to make a difference in this world, with your education. Don't get me wrong, doing physics homework at 1 AM sucks, if it was up to me, I'd make homework optional (there's always that one person that loves doing physics). Well, I hope you all had an amazing Friday, and congratulations to all those that have graduated this year.

Happy Friday

EXAM TIME!!!

Hello my wonderful readers! How are you doing? I know, it's been a long time since I've blogged, but its exam time in Canada. This means I just stay home ad study, and I have basically so life for the next couple of weeks. at won't stop me from blogging, though. I shall put another post up later today ( it is currently 1:09 am), and keep posting as the next couple of weeks or so progress. How is exam going for all you Canadian ( and maybe even American) readers? You're probably enjoying reading mass amounts of literature, and doing equations. Maybe even a few of you are ready to chuck your calculators into the Pacific Ocean. Even if you do, I can understand why. Okay, it's bedtime now, I have to get up early in the morning for a studying session at school. Study hard, and enjoy the rest of your days.

Happy Studying

Tutorial Later Today :)

Hello my wonderful readers! I have not blogged for a while. How have you all been doing? I've been in school for almost two months now, and its really cutting into my writing time. I might even have to work up my own schedule now. How does at least three times a week sound? That will be my goal for now until I can obtain more free time. I am currently enjoying the four day weekend for Thanksgiving, and will be blogging throughout. Are any of you on your break right now?

I am currently planning out a Halloween tutorial for next week, so I would love for you to give me any ideas that you would like me to to a tutorial on. Hmm. Maybe I should do a week of Halloween themed posts? Look out for my tutorial today, it may not be Halloween themed, but you could use it for a costume. Be safe, and enjoy the long weekend (even if you do not ave one, just have fun anyways). Thank you for reading, enjoy the holidays and stay updated.

Happy Thanksgiving,

STUDY TIME

Hello my fabulous readers! How are you all doing? I have been away from blogging for a really long time now, but I will be back on track tomorrow for you guys. I have been so busy, I  have to do volunteering for a career course that all the students need for graduation, and it's been pretty interesting so far. I have also been trying to attend practices for a community pep rally, as my friends and I along with a dance teacher are going to preform a dance, well, possibly. Pretty exhausting, oh and truckloads of homework. This week has been pretty good so far, not too much homework. Well, I should get back to slaving over my textbooks, and I shall see you all tomorrow. I salute those who have waited long enough just to read the end of this rant.

Happy Waiting

School Pictures Tips

Hello all of you readers! How are you doing? I am back from my trip, and I have a few reviews and tutorials planned out for you all. It makes me cringe to type this, but with only a few days of August left, there is little time to hang out with the people you haven’t gotten around to, or stay up until six in the morning every day. September is right around the corner, and if you are like me, then you have to attend school this coming Monday. School is exciting for the first few weeks, then its back to the sleepless nights, and fretting about overdue papers. Enjoy these few days while you can, and hopefully you readers are part of the lucky ones that get to attend next later than the rest of us. Well, onto today’s post!

Registering for school may be on the painful side, as you have to line up multiple times, and wait for hours before you can finally leave. By the most of the good lockers are taken and the textbooks are reduced down to the “gently-used” editions. The most tedious yet exciting part of registration has to be school pictures. A lot of preparation goes into getting your look right for the photo, but when you look back on it all, it might seem a bit silly. For now, enjoy your time being in school, and worry all you want, as this post is full of ways to get your picture looking clean, simple, and memorable.

Tip 1: If you do wear makeup for the photos, avoid makeup setting powders that contain mica. Mica is known for its reflectiveness, and can cause while patches to show up on your face from the camera flash.

Tip 2: For eyeshadow, only wear colours that you will not regret putting on your face for the photo. If in doubt, try natural looking colours, for a fresh looking face. Colours like a tan brown, taupe, or even a light wash of gold look good on any skin tone.

Tip 3: If you want a little bit of sparkle, wear sheer but light colours, instead of all matte ones, which can make the eyes appear flat. If using more than one shade, use a sheer wash of colour, and matte colours for contouring and the undereye area.

Tip 4: Avoid wearing too much blush. I know many people that pile on the blush, but it can end up looking odd in photos. Instead, gently pat a clean finger into a crème or powder blush, and lightly dot the apples of your cheeks. Blend in the colour, until you can barely see it. Repeat these two steps , and you will have the perfect amount on your cheeks. Blush can help you to avoid looking too pale in photos, as the bright lighting can wash out your face colour.

Tip 5: For mascara, just a couple coats should do. Again, too much product doesn’t mean your look will become more polished. If you are not a fan of mascara, curl lashes and apply clear brow and lash gel, to make then more defined.

Tip 6: Try to keep your makeup light; you only want to cover any imperfection, not your entire face. Concealer should be the only type of cover up you would need for a photo, followed by face powder.

Tip 7: When picking an outfit, you have to consider what will be visible in the photo. If you have the option to pick the pose you want, pick beforehand, so you can get your best picture. It is best to pick something simple, without being too casual. Pick out your outfit the night before and you are all set.

Tip 8: If you are trying to find the perfect hairstyle, make a side part, and gently smooth the hair. Do not flatten the hair; just try to make it appear neater. This is the easiest thing to do with your air for photos, as it looks great on everybody.

Tip 9: Last tip I have before I sign off for the day, is to relax. Even if you do not remember any of this, remember to stay calm and everything will go well. A relaxed smile looks better than a nervous one.

Well, there you have it, nine tips that I hope will get you through picture day. Even if you are not satisfied with your picture, at least you know what to do for next time. I just had my photo taken a couple days back, and the photographer took the photo so quickly, I have a feeling she took it before I was fully smiling. Oh well, I’ll see when I get them. Tomorrow’s post will have a picture of my new braceless teeth. Today’s photos are turning out too blurry, and maybe I will have better luck tomorrow. Hope you like it. Well, I’m heading to bed. Take care everyone, and thank you for reading.

Happy School Registering

Summer Should Be the ONLY Season

Summer is almost here! The sun is coming out more, the dragonflys are zipping around the air and I am done with school of the year. Well, almost. I have two exams coming up next week, and then I'm officially done. How about you guys? You have any exams? I have a love-hate complex with this time of the year. I love the end of the school year because you don't have to see any more homework or the people that you do not get along with. I hate the end of the year because of stupid exams and having to cram. I guess you can never win. Today was officially the last day of classes, and the locker cleanup was last block. I even took a picture of my empty locker. A few of my friends were crying ( sorry guys my blog hahahah) and hugging, and others, like me, were just giggling and hugging. I guess its our own way of crying. The weather outside was pretty melancholy, as there was ash in the air from the forest fires, and a steady downpour began just as everyone went outside. I'm excited for next year though. Well that's the end of my little post there. I have a hair tutorial and a makeup tutorial planned for this week, then I will take a brief hiatus to study >.<.

Happy Summer Adventuring ( makes no sense but hey, no school)
